Muffin Golf was built on the course at Aquella, in Phang Nga, Thailand, by Lee & Leah Andrews — a couple who love golf, love each other, and were tired of those two facts being in conflict.
— The Andrews family. 11th hole. Smiles intact.
Aquella, on the coast of Phang Nga, Thailand — our first real round together in almost twenty years of marriage. On the par-3 8th, Lee called down the fairway, "Take another shot!" The sea wind turned it into "Take a Muffin Shot." Leah, a golfer of all of two hours, took the advice at face value and stuck it three feet from the pin. First birdie, first round. We'd just named our marriage and didn't know it yet.
We kept playing — and started paying attention.
Over the next year we wrote down the rules we wished existed — for couples, for families, for anyone who loves the game but can't seem to enjoy it. A scorecard that measures the vibe instead of the strokes. A guilt-free do-over we call the Muffin Shot. We took a notebook to every round.
A year of notebooks became a manuscript, a wardrobe, and a brand. We named all of it after the one in our house who's never once judged Leah's slice — Muffin, our short-legged Munchkin cat, who sheds white hair on everything we own and named this whole thing by accident.
Muffin Golf is the book, the dress, the polos — the whole idea that golf should bring people closer, not break them apart. We answer every email. We're still figuring out the back nine. Joy > Judgment.
The whole point of the company. If a product or page or policy makes someone feel worse about playing, we don't ship it.
Take your time. Take the day off. Take a Muffin Shot. We're not racing anyone.
The round you'll remember isn't your best score. It's who you played with.

Muffin has veto power on every product decision. So far, he's used it twice: no dog polos, no cat shampoo.
You don't have to be good. You don't have to break 100. You don't even have to like golf yet. Beginners are the main character here.
A normal scorecard tells you who won. Ours tells you whether everyone wants to play again. That's the number we care about.

Muffin is a Munchkin cat: short legs, strong opinions, and a coat that leaves white hair on everything. He has never judged a slice and never once offered a useful golf tip — yet he still, entirely by accident, named this whole company. "Muffin Golf" came from him, by way of a word misheard on a windy fairway. He was asleep for it. Naturally, he gets top billing.
He even has an Instagram page. Why not?. — Joy > Judgment.
